Thanks Maddie. Oh she hates the wind. It gets pretty darned windy. I took the photo right after I put her new mask on she wasn’t sure what to think of it yet. I thought one with ears would be just the ticket, and it seems to be! She’s more comfortable now. If I could just do something about the too hot, too cold, rain and occasional snow. . . hmm she’s a little more like Goldilocks than Barbie. I know she would prefer to be in the living room.
Hi Pam. i don’t know anything about horses, so I might sound silly. Is the mask like a screen? Can the horse see out of it?
Hi Mike! Yes it’s made of shade cloth like the screen you might use on a window or patio or to shade your garden. They can see out of it and it protects their face and eyes especially from flies, wind and the sun uv rays. She has sensitive blue eyes so I keep them covered up even in winter when the light is harsh.
Oh the ears part of this fly mask are made from a sheer nylon material, not shade cloth.
Haha! She looks pretty funny! Our pony has one of those things too. He doesn’t like it too much. Maybe he doesn’t like me laughing at him when he has it on?
