We don’t get much rain here in Las Vegas. Even when it does rain it may not rain in your backyard. It may be a rogue cell on a clear day like God wringing out a big sponge drowning everything under it. You can watch it bulldozing a path across the sky and know below raindrops the size of your thumb are hitting the ground with the force that could carve out another Grand Canyon or more likely fill up a dip in the road that can stall your car and carry you off into a ditch.
It’s a rare sweet thing, rain. We grab our cameras, run outside and dance in it.

This is a nice picture. We have much the same relationship with rain here. It’s a rare and awesome thing. I revel in the puddles. Thanks for sending this reminder that it’s still possible.
