THE CHALLENGE:
Write a one hundred word story that has a beginning, middle and end using the photo below, copyright Janet Webb. Now here’s mine : 100 words.
The Old Neighbors
“The shoes came down first, glass slippers like Cinderella’s. At least I think they were. We looked for them on the street that night. Those two were always screaming, throwing crap off the balcony every weekend. You knew not to park your car there.”
“Wow.”
“Yep, when I saw that expensive dress floating there before it fell, I knew the next thing would be big. We were taking bets across the way here, TV, golf clubs maybe.”
“What happened?”
“Oh hell we had to call in the police. They were fixing to throw each other off next.”
Oh no! This was good:)
Your title could have been “Look out below!” I always thought glass slippers would be very uncomfortable, even if they were your size! But to have some fall from the sky would be even worse.

LOL, nice. Don’t stand under their balcony!
Dear Pam,
Who needs TV when you have neighbors like that, right? I suppose it’s a good thing someone called the police. 😉 Enjoyed this one.
shalom,
Rochelle
Ooh! it takes courage to step in like that, even if via ‘the authorities’. I like that this was all conversation.
I always figured Cinderella would end up in a situation involving domestic violence. This was very good, darling.
I actually lived across the street from people like that at one time.
Good one! Love the ending!
Better than watching television. Nice one.
I thought this was really very well written.
Highly entertaining.
Loved it.
I sincerely hope the police could stop that final act (at least for the cars below)
A great flash, hope the police got there in time!
Thank you! I’m sure they did but it might have involved tasers.
Oh I’m sure they did. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks so much!
Thank you!

Thank you!!
Oh it’s not amusing in real life. I hope you live in a peaceful place now. Thanks for stopping by.
Oh me too! Thanks so much!
Thank you Rochelle!
I know right! Thank you!
That’s a good one! Thanks for stopping by!
When the stakes ratchet up the stakes go along for the ride. I hope the authorities were able to intervene before more serious charges ensued.
