No More

A shard of your mirror lies

in the drawer

The one you used to fool me

Until you let it slip

The one you used to rule me.

This poem was written for Writing 201:Poetry. The prompt today is Drawer, the Form is Ode and the device is Apostrophe (a-POS-truh-fee) can produce such a striking effect in a poem: it occurs when the speaker in the poem addresses another person or an object (usually personified) directly.
